Madison WI recruits from PSC
At a time when those applying to be police officers is on the decline nationally, the MPD is bucking the trend. Numbers of applicants are up this year, with many indicating they are applying nowhere else. Some got in the MPD pipeline as teenage explorers, others as college interns. In this podcast Capt. Mishicot Cadets compete in first State Competition
The Mishicot Public Safety Cadets were in Wisconsin Dells competing against 40 other cadet units from across Wisconsin. Our unit is just under 1 year old and this was our first time at the State Conference. Despite having the "rookie" title, the Cadets performed very well and scored highly on multiple events. The cadets worked well as a team and represented the Village of Mishicot proudly! Some of the scenarios the Cadets competed in included; Burglary in Progress Dispatch Conflict Resolution Welfare Check Shoot Don't Shoot Traffic Stop / OWI Search Warrant

Georgia Law Enforcement Experience Academy

Chula Vista and Coronado Police Cadet Units attend yearly summer academy.
Last month, the Chula Vista Police and the Coronado Police Cadet Units attended the yearly San Diego County Law Enforcement Explorer/Cadet academy. Each year over 240 youth from 25 agencies throughout California attend. Chula Vista Police Mentors oversee the academy and the entry level phase and Coronado Police Mentors oversee the intermediate phase of the academy. Muskego PD Cadets- 1st PSC Unit in State Competition
Muskego WI PD Cadets were the 1st registered PSC Cadets to ever compete in State competition. Muskego took home awards and not far behind as new PSC Cadets is Sturgeon Bay PD Cadets who also took home trophies from this event.
Fairfax VA PD Cadets - 1st PSC Cadets
The Fairfax Virginia PD Cadets were the first Unit to register with the new Public Safety Cadets. Fairfax has actually 3 Units and are very active in all phases of the department.
